Caregiver Connector Program - Cherryville

Provided by Cherryville Community Food & Resource Society

Offers one to one support, a point of contact and connection for those caring for an older adult in the Cherryville and Lumby communities.
The caregivers connect program provides information and referrals to other local services that can help caregivers manage their daily responsibilities and challenges, in a way that best supports caregivers. Services include:
  • Direct Support: Caregivers meet with the connector on a one to one basis and receive confidential support. This offers caregivers an opportunity to connect and share their feelings while receiving helpful information and resources.
  • Support Groups: Provides an opportunity for caregivers in similar situations to connect and share their experiences and feelings. These facilitated meetings allow caregivers to share strategies and information about helpful resources.

Additional services may also include:
  • Healthcare system navigation support
  • Social and self-care events
  • Information and referrals to community support and services
  • Education to enhance knowledge and skills

To get started with the caregivers connector program, first obtain caregiver's permission, then call the office to provide contact information for the caregiver.
